Welcome to the early 2000s! Here you will find some of my first stories presented in serious time-travel mode, as a handwritten zine (!) as well as a few posts from my first ever blog of the same name, to give ya the flavor.
The Zine
Subsist/Resist in its original form, a handmade zine written by a pack of moss-brained folk from Cordova, Alaska and compiled by your truly.
Since the zine is handwritten (yes, you read that right, somebody has to remember how to write with a pen, for after the revolution) what you will find here is scanned images of its pages. How backwards fun is reading real human script on a computer?
The Blog
Curious what Calamity was like as a very new mama? Before Apron Stringz? When she was still managing to cling to those genuine punk ideals? Here’s a little teaser:
Dumpster Diver Barbie
A Christmas present for a dear friend– the premier model, complete with duct tape pants, up-cycled red hoodie, chain link necklace, and her very own dumpster to dive.

All of Barbie’s acouterments are hand-crafted by yours truly and a good friend of like mind. Take a close look to appreciate the miniature bagels in a miniature plastic bag. I shoulda been a fuckin’ doll maker. Also note that in the heat of the moment Barbie’s headlamp has fallen off into the dumpster. Bad form Barb.

Sound like fun? To read more of my 20-something shenanigans and very hopeful view of possible futures, check out these posts on the original blog.
